A medieval city with distinct gothic style , Siena is a hilltop town in Italy’s Tuscany region. Known as home to the oldest bank in the world, Siena was one of the most important cities in medieval Europe.
Today, the city is famous for it’s historic center — a UNESCO World Heritage site and Palio di Siena —a horse race held twice each year in Piazza del Campo.
